Meeting at the Borispil Airport.
Moving to Poltava.
Arrival in Poltava.

Poltava - one of the most beautiful parts of Ukraine. It is especially beautiful at the time of the blooming flowering gardens. The Poltava region is proud of its historic sites and it invites willingly all guests. An excursion trip to Poltava: the center area with the buildings of government offices, The Ivanova Mountain. A visit to the historical-cultural reserve "The Field of Poltava Battle"- dedicated to the decisive event of the Northern War of 1700-1721. Many invaluable historical relics are stored in the Battle of Poltava Museum.

Friday

9.00 - Sightseeing tour of Poltava and
a visit to the Cross Monastery.

Excursion to the field of The Battle of
Poltava.

The Battle of Poltava - the biggest battle of the Great Northern War – took place on June 27th 1709. It was a battle between two big powers - the Russian army of Peter The Great and the Swedish army led by Charles XII. Charles XII of Sweden suffered a crushing defeat: during the battle nearly 10 000 men were killed and 3 000 Swedish soldiers were taken as prisoners. The remains of the Swedish army surrendered.
The Swedish army´s defeat in the battle of Poltava determined the further course of the entire Northern War. At the location where the battle took place, there is a museum-reserve called "The Field of Poltava Battle", in which there are a number of monuments for the defenders of Poltava and also there are two monuments for the Swedish soldiers and officers -built in 1909 on the occasion of 200th anniversary of the Battle of Poltava.
 
11.30 - A sightseeing tour around the Museum and a visit to the Museum.
13.20 - Lunch at the tavern dedicated to The Battle Of Poltava.
           
Trip to Oposhnya.
A stop near the reconstructed fort.
A stop near the monument to the Swedes dedicated to the battle of Poltava.
15.20 - Arrival in Oposhnya.
 
A visit to the Ukrainian pottery Museum. An opportunity to buy souvenirs.
Oposhnya at a first glance – a town like so many in Ukraine: some market places, a small church and some domestic animals there on the streets.
But it is only the first glance.
On this location the celebrated masters of pottery have lived and worked for centuries. Many pages of the book of being a Ukrainian have been written here.
The National Museum-Reserve of pottery in Oposhnya. TheMuseum and the history of the craft, the process and the Oposhnyan masters´ final products, which have found their place in the best museums of the world. The visitors have the opportunity to admire the work of these masters and to purchase their own unique souvenirs.

17.00 - Arrival at the Hotel.

10.00 – Departure to the Veliki Budishev village.
 
A visit to the Museum of Ukrainian wedding with a theatrical performance.
 
A horse sleigh ride to the cafe, where: a small lunchand continued theatricals.
 
Departure from Veliki Budishev.

14.40 A stop at Dikanka.
Leisure time.
16.00 – Arrival to the Ukrainian style restaurant.
 
The meeting of the characters of Nikolai Gogol´s “Evenings on a Farm near Dikanka” plus a theatrical performance.
 
A horse sleigh ride.

Supper.
Departure back to the Hotel.
Overnight stay in the Hotel.

Sunday

Breakfast.
Check-out from the Hotel.
Departure to the Borispil airport.
