Zakarpattya and The Crimea
Zakarpattya - a beautiful place - a land of beautiful mountains, mountain rivers, mineral springs, green forests and medieval castles. The southern coast of Crimea - a popular place for recreation - is by a warm sea and the weather is perfect all summer long. The autumn is warm and the climate is mild. Along the coast there are many attractions - the various castles and ancient cities, monuments, war memorials and many other interesting places.
Yalta is the center of the Southern coast of Crimea. The city is known from year 1145 when it was called Dzhalita. Around the city you can find many coastal cities and towns - well-known resorts such as Gurzuf Alushta Livadiya, Miskhor, Foros, Simeiz.
Yalta is a uniquely beautiful region which its adorned Ayu-Dag mountain, the cave of Ai-Petri, The Crimea Grand Canyon gorge near the town of Falcon, Pane, Lebidinoe Lebedinoe Krilo in Semeize. Here is also the historical and architectural reserve and Cat Simeizskaya Astrophysical Observatory. Nikitsky is a unique and beautiful botanical garden. Covering an area of 1000 hectares, the garden has many plants from around the world. In Massandra Park many kind of flower beauty is collected from the south and there is also a very popular wine factory. Foros has had a beautiful park since year 1834. Miskhor has a landscape park and the Dyulber Palace has its own beautiful park too.
In Gasperi is the castle that looms over the sea - The Swallow's Nest from 1912. Livadiya can be proud of their complex of palaces of the imperial family from 1911. There in February 1945 was hosted the Crimean Conference of Heads of State of the anti-Hitler coalition. Alupka attracts with its palace and park ensemble of Vorontsov Palace made between years 1828-1848. Alushta Demerdzhi beautifies the mountain, the ruins of a Byzantine fortress Aluston, The water fall of Jur-Jur - the most beautiful and largest waterfall in the Crimea, "Valley of Enforceability" with a unique landscape. In Gurzuf there is the military sanatorium and an ARTEK Sputnik summer camp for children.
Bakhchisaray State Historical and Cultural Reserve. The reserve is a medieval town with its narrow streets. Here is preserved historical monuments such as the Khan's Palace 15th to 18th centuries. Now the building is used as a museum. There is also the Khan Jami Mosque. Fountain of Tears from year 1764 and Gold from year 1733 are fountains in the courtyard of the Khan's Palace. From here you can find the Interesting Saints Monastery from 8th - 19th century and Chufut Calais from 10th -19th centuries - the cave city fortress. Near the town are the ruins of another cave town Eski-Kerman from 5th - 13th centuries and the town of Calais Mangup from 6th - 16th centuries. Tepe-Kermen - a Cave Church from 8th - 9th centuries. From Bakhchisarai many start their hiking trips on the Crimea.

In Koktebel, Feodosia, Ai-Petri, Demerdzhi and Chatyr-Dag these places have each year their various aeronautic and aviation competitions - the center for airplane sports.
Sevastopol, Kerch, Yalta and Partenit are good places for sailing. In Crimea you can rent a pleasure boat, a yacht or a small boat.
